CASA of Portage County Associate Board

CASA of Portage County Associate Board, we work tirelessly to raise funds and increase
resources available for the volunteers of CASA of Portage County and the children supported
through this program.
Through fundraising initiatives, such as the Kilts for CASA Kids spaghetti dinner and bike run and
the Pancake Breakfast, we enhance the CASA volunteers’ abilities to promote normalcy and
well-being for abused, neglected, and dependent children in Portage County’s foster care
system.
Our monetary support can be used to provide items such as bedding, beds, cribs, travel bags,
summer camp, sports fees, tutoring, furniture, and comfort items to children and families in
need of assistance.  Because we continuously raise funds and seek out grants, we can say “yes”
to requests that benefit children and their families’ daily lives.  Our Board also provides
monetary resources to fund the invaluable training programs available to our CASA volunteers.
We are proud to be able to support our CASA volunteers in attending the yearly State
conference to learn innovate ways to support their CASA kids and families during difficult
situations and in the reunification process.
Our Board is currently comprised of ten dedicated, community-minded individuals who believe
whole-heartedly in this cause.  We formed our Board in 2022, and would not be here without
the love, support, and generosity of our community.  We are grateful every day to be able to
serve the CASA of Portage County Program and the important work of Judge Patricia Smith and
Ann Walden.
